SYNOPSIS

This German documentary revisits a 1970s youth movement in West Germany, where young people sought to create their own spaces for leisure and self-expression. Amidst the backdrop of the 68er generation’s revolt against authority and their pursuit of sexual liberation, a lesser-known wave of activism emerged. Thousands of youths pushed for the establishment of self-managed youth centers and communal spaces, free from parental control and consumerist pressures. The film traces this movement’s roots and reflects on its lasting influence, uncovering what remains of its legacy in today's world.
