"The second New Hormones release. I think this did well for us and them. It marked the start of Iain Grey joining us. We knew Iain as he’d seen us play a lot and knew many of the songs better than we did! This was recorded at Spirit Studio in Manchester by Dale Hibbert. Dale had a long friendship with the group and almost joined before Iain stepped in. Dale recorded us, did the sound desks and was an original Smith. He will be famed now for “turn all the lights out (Dale)”. Then calm again was a moody, swirling song that we often played for 8-10 minutes. The words to Discipline (written by Steven Edwards) contained a verse about each of the group members. The cover is a ink drawing of a photograph taken of Steven Edwards in a Lock-up room at Prestwich Hospital. The label of the record is a photograph of the Regional Secure Unit."
